Librarian Senior High 1 by ~lizzy4750:iconlizzy4750:

Librarian Senior High
Chapter: 1
The First Day

In an alternate world, there is a high school that is unlike any other high school and that high school is Librarian Senior High. Librarian Senior High is a high school for those interested into becoming a librarian. Today is Lizzy’s first day at Librarian Senior High. Lizzy transferred from a boring everyday high school to Librarian Senior High. Also, Lizzy is entering Librarian Senior High as a sophomore because she scored high on the entrance exam. Well, let’s see how Lizzy’s first day at Librarian Senior High turns out.

Lizzy walks onto the campus of Librarian Senior High, she looks around and is amazed how civilized everyone is. Nobody was being thrown into lockers nor did she hear any insults being made. As Lizzy walks to her locker, some of the girls look at her and whispered, “Oh she is the girl that aced the test and got pushed ahead a year.” As Lizzy started to open her locker, she sees a girl stop right next to her. The girl in the locker beside her was Denise Patterson. Denise’s locker is situated between Lizzy and her friend, Liz. Liz is a junior at Librarian Senior High while Denise was a sophomore like Lizzy. Liz walked over to her locker and smiled at Denise.

“So, that is the girl who got promoted to sophomore rank?” Liz asked Denise.
“Yeah, that is her,” Denise replied, “she seems nice.”
“Know what, let’s invite her to sit with us at lunch,” Liz suggested.
“That’s a good idea, Liz,” Denise replied.
Lizzy closed her locker and looked at Denise talking to Liz. Liz saw Lizzy and smiled at her.
“Hello,” Denise said to Lizzy.
“Hello,” Lizzy replied, “How are you doing?”
“Well, I am doing quite well,” Denise said, “I am Denise and this is my friend, Liz.”
“Nice to meet you guys,” Lizzy replied happily, “I am Lizzy Collins-De-Arc.”
“Would you like to join us for lunch?” Liz asked Lizzy.
“Sure,” Lizzy said as she looked at her watch, “well I better get to class. See you guys at lunch!”
“Ok, Lizzy” Liz said as she pulled a book from her locker.
“See you later, Lizzy” Denise said as she closed her locker and rushed to class.

Lizzy walked inside the classroom and took a seat. Her first class was English for Librarians II. Lizzy looked around, then she looked at the guy next to her and smiled at him. The guy next to Lizzy was no other then Tedward “Ted” Johnson. Ted looked at Lizzy and smiled back. Then he went back to looking at the text book. That is when Larry Minorincort turned around and looked at Ted.
“Ted, you like the new girl, don’t you?” Larry asked as he was doing his class work, “If you like, I can hook you up with her.”
Ted just gave Larry a blank glare and didn’t do anything else.
“Come on bro,” Larry said, “at least say hello to her after class.”
Ted just sighed and went back to doing his class work. Ted didn’t want the new girl to think that he is a weirdo. Heck, half of the school already thinks he is weirdo. He didn’t need another person to think that as well.

When the bell rang, Lizzy went to her locker and took out her librarian-science textbook.  That’s when Lizzy turned around and saw Denise.

“Hello Denise,” Lizzy said, “Do you have Librarian-Science II next?”
“Yes I do,” Denise replied, “Why do you ask?”
“Well I have that class next.” Lizzy said as she pulled out her schedule.
“Wow that is awesome!” Denise replied happily as she walked into the class room with Lizzy.

Lizzy took a seat right next to Denise, and she saw Ted again. Larry was sitting next to Ted. Lizzy waved at Ted and Ted waved back at Lizzy.
“Wow, you like somebody already?” Denise asked Lizzy.
“I guess so,” Lizzy said as she blushed.

Just then, a tall guy walks into the room. "Charles Writtmen," Denise whispered, "he's probably the most popular junior on campus."
“I forgot my textbook,” Charles said in a British accent as he walked over to where Lizzy was sitting, “Can you hand me the text book under your desk?”
“Uh, sure,” Lizzy replied as she was blushed and handed Charles his textbook.
“Thanks,” Charles said as he walked out of the room and ran to his next class.

The teacher walked into the class room and started today’s lesson.
Lizzy and Denise stopped talking as soon as the teacher turned around and looked at them. That’s when he decided to continue teaching the class. Meanwhile, Larry was talking to Ted. Ted just nodded and sighed. When the bell rang, everyone went to lunch. Lizzy looked around the cafeteria and saw Liz and Denise waving at her. That’s when Lizzy walked over to where Liz and Denise were at. Lizzy placed on her lunch on the table and sat down.

“So you picked the salmon sushi as well,” Lizzy said to Liz.
“Yeah, the lunch here is awesome!” Liz replied as she started eating. “Well, you already know Denise and me,” Liz continued, “now you’ll meet some of the other people we hang out with.”
A girl with glasses and wearing a jean dress walks over to the table, her hair is black, and she sits down at the table Lizzy is at.

“Hello Lucy,” Liz said happily, “How was class today?”
“It was useless,” Lucy replied, “The student body president was bragging about the same old thing again.”
“That’s Lucy Mc-Carland,” Denise explained to Lizzy.
Lizzy just nodded and continued to eat her salmon sushi. That’s when the student body president walked to the table Lizzy was sitting at and started to address Lizzy.

“So you’re this genius girl everyone has been talking about,” The student body president said as he took Lizzy’s hand and kissed it, “I am James-Joc Adams, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“I am Lizzy Collins-De-Arc,” Lizzy replied, “and it’s nice meeting you too.”
That’s when one of the popular girls grabbed James-Joc and dragged him away.
“I’ll see you around some time, Lizzy my dear,” James-Joc said as he was being dragged away.

“How dare you talk to that new girl?” the girl dragging James-Joc said, “You’re my boyfriend remember?”
“When did I commit to that?” James-Joc replied.
“Look! My father is mayor of a city, if you don’t go out with me, I will make sure you end up a nerd!” The girl remarked with an almost aggressive tone.
“Ok, ok, Vickellia,” James-Joc replied as he walked off.
“I think you were a bit hard on him,” Carole said as she walked in out of the blue, “I mean he is the student body president after all. He can date whoever he wants.”
“So now you’re siding with him, Carole?” Vickellia replied, “If that is so, then you don’t need to be in our group anymore.”
“Fine then, I’ll sit with somebody else’s group for lunch today,” Carole said as she was tired of hearing gossip come of Vickellia’s mouth.

Carole walked over to where Lizzy was sitting at and sat down at their table.
“Hello Carole,” Liz said happily, “how are you doing?”
“I am doing all right and what about you guys?” Carole replied.
“I’m all right,” Denise said.
“Same old, same old,” Lucy said.
“Nothing new here,” Liz said.

Lizzy looked at the table across from them and saw Ted and Larry. Lizzy just sighed and looked at her new found friends. Just then a senior came up to their table and sat down.

“Hello girls,” Robin said to them, “looks like we have a new person here.”
“Oh Robin, this is Lizzy, she got promoted to sophomore rank after scoring high on the exam,” Liz said to Robin.
“Oh, nice to meet you Lizzy,” Robin said happily, “you’ll love it here.”
“Thanks, Robin,” Lizzy replied, “I am enjoying every minute of it.”

Lizzy then went back to looking at Ted. She really wanted to talk to him, but she didn’t know how to approach him. Denise looked at Lizzy and knew she was looking at Ted.
“That guy is strange,” Denise said to Lizzy.
“Why would you say that, Denise?” Lizzy asked, “Everyone is strange in one way or another.”
“What I mean is,” Denise replied to Lizzy, “he isn’t what you would call normal.”
Lizzy sat there with a confused look on her face, as if Lizzy didn’t know what Denise meant by the word “normal”. Meanwhile Larry is talking to Ted.

“It seems the new girl likes you,” Larry said to Ted, “you should try to get her before that jerk does.”
“She would never like me,” Ted replied as he sighed.
“The big dance is coming up,” Larry said, “I am going to ask Liz out, for the tenth time.”
“Good luck,” Ted replied as he sighed again, “she wouldn’t go out with you even if you paid her.”
“I got an idea!” Larry said, “Go ask the new girl out.”

Ted just sighed and went back to eating his lunch and reading his book. That’s when Lizzy asked Denise what she meant about Ted not being normal.

“Well, the only person that is even close to him is that jerk Larry,” Denise replied to Lizzy’s question, “it’s like he doesn’t trust anybody.”
“Maybe he just needs a friend that understands him for who he is,” Lizzy said.
“Lizzy is right about that,” Robin commented, “Ted isn’t really a freak of nature like everyone says he is.”
“Maybe you can ask Ted to the big fall dance,” Carole suggested, “I am sure he won’t reject you, Lizzy.”
“Oh yeah, the fall dance,” Denise exclaimed, “I am bringing my boyfriend from Advance Technologies Senior High.”
“That’s awesome,” Liz said.
“Who are you taking to the dance, Liz?” Carole asked.
“You know Larry is going to ask her,” Lucy commented.
“I don’t know yet,” Liz replied to Carole.

After lunch was over, Lizzy went to social studies class, her last class of the day. Ted was in this class with her as well! The teacher told the class to split up into groups of two and do a research project. All the students went into groups of two; the only two students that weren’t in groups were Ted and Lizzy. The teacher told Ted to pair up with Lizzy. Ted nodded and did what the teacher told him. This was Lizzy’s chance to get to know Ted. Ted smiled at Lizzy and Lizzy smiled back at Ted.

“So are we going to do a WWII project or do a report about the Civil Rights Movement?” Lizzy asked Ted.
“The Civil Rights Movement,” Ted replied.
“Ok, that will be easier than doing research on WWII anyways,” Lizzy said, “by the way, I am Lizzy.”
“Nice to meet you, Lizzy,” Ted replied, “I am Ted.”
Lizzy and Ted continued to work on their research project. Right before the bell rang; Lizzy put her things away and gave Ted her phone number and e-mail address.

“Well, call me this weekend to work on the project,” Lizzy said to Ted.
Ted nodded and gathered his things. That’s when the bell rang and everyone rushed out of class. Lizzy walked out of the classroom and met with Denise near the bus stop.

“So, enjoyed you first day at Librarian Senior High?” Denise asked.
“Yeah, it was all right,” Lizzy replied, “What you going to do after school?”
“We’re going to Jim’s Ice Cream Shop,” Denise replied, “why don’t you join us?”
“Ok!” Lizzy replied happily as she followed Denise to the ice cream shop.

Jim’s Ice Cream Shop is a popular hangout for the students at Librarian Senior High. When Lizzy and Denise arrived at Jim’s Ice Cream Shop, Liz called them over to her table, Denise and Lizzy took a seat. The waitress came to their table and handed them their menus.

“Hello Liz, and Hello Denise,” The waitress said, “I see you have a newcomer to your group.”
“Alex, this is Lizzy,” Denise said to the waitress, “she just transferred into our school today.”
“Hello, Alex,” Lizzy said to the waitress, “How are you doing?”
“I am doing well,” Alex said to Lizzy, “how do you like it at Librarian Senior High?”
“It’s awesome!” Lizzy said with excitement as she looked at the menu, “I’ll take the mocha ice cream shake surprise.”
“Ok and the same thing as yesterday for you Liz?” Alex asked Liz.
“Yes, and add some of that surprise syrup to it please,” Liz replied to Alex.
“Ok, Liz, “Alex said, “and Denise you want the double fudge with vanilla syrup special?”
“Wow, you remembered!” Denise replied to Alex.
“So I’ll take that as a yes then,” Alex said.

Denise nodded as Alex took the orders and went back to the counter to make them. Meanwhile, Larry dragged Ted to Jim’s Ice Cream shop.

Ted just sighed and wished he didn’t walk into that door. Larry walked over to the table where Liz was at; he looked at Liz and smiled.

“Liz, will you go with me to the fall dance?” Larry asked.
“Uh…no,” Liz said as she drank some water, “Larry, I don’t want to be mean or anything, but I don’t like you.”
Larry couldn’t believe Liz would say such a thing to him, so he turned around and walked away, as Ted followed him.
“Tell Lizzy how you feel, Ted,” Larry said as he felt rejected, “I guess the tenth time isn’t the charm. Maybe the eleventh time might work…”
“Just give it up, Larry,” Ted replied, “Liz will never like you. I also doubt that Lizzy will ever like me.”
“Bro, I haven’t known Lizzy for a long time, but she isn’t like those other girls,” Larry said to Ted, “Just ask her and if she says no, at least you tried, right?”
Ted nodded and walked back over to the table where Lizzy was sitting at.
“Lizzy,” Ted said as he started to blush, “Would you uh…”
“What is it?” Lizzy asked as she stared into Ted’s green eyes.
“Would you go to the dance with me?” Ted finally blurted out as he was blushing.
“Sure, why not,” Lizzy replied happily.

Ted fainted just as Lizzy replied to his question. Lizzy and Larry both looked concerned for Ted while helping him up.

“Are you ok Ted?” Lizzy asked with a concerned look on her face.
“Yeah bro, are you ok?” Larry asked Ted.
“I am ok,” Ted said as he looked at his leg and pulled his pants leg down.
Vickellia came out of nowhere, went over to Ted and pours a large cup of lemonade over Ted’s head. Ted felt a few electric shocks and cried in pain.

“Oops,” Vickellia said as she laughed, “lemonade is on you now.”
Vickellia and her friends laughed at Ted. Ted felt so embarrassed now, he saw Lizzy with tears in her eyes. Ted tried to move but he couldn’t.

Two weeks ago, Vickellia threw a big party and Ted was lucky enough to get invited. While at the party, Vickellia was wearing a fashionable white dress with little gray hearts on it. When Ted walked over to where Vickellia was, he tripped and his cup of fruit punch splashed on to Vickellia’s white dress. That is when Vickellia screamed at Ted. Right before Ted was kicked out of the party, Vickellia said one thing, “And just you wait, Ted! One day I’ll embarrass you like you embarrassed me.”

“That is just wrong,” Liz said.
“Yeah, I know,” Denise said to Liz, “maybe that is why Ted is so shy. I shouldn’t have said those mean things about him.”
“Why did you do that?” Lizzy yelled at Vickellia, “that is the meanest thing someone could ever do.”
“Lizzy…” Larry commented, “I don’t think it’s a good idea to talk to her like that.”
“You go Lizzy!” Denise commented, “Stand up for your man!”
“Aw…did I hurt you boy friend’s feelings?” Vickellia said as she laughed evilly.
“You better apologize!” Lizzy demanded, “You and your snobby friends have no right to treat people like garbage because they are different.”
“I think we should listen to Lizzy,” Charles quietly said as he walked off.
“To that robot, why never,” Vickellia replied in a snobbish tone, “machines are lower than humans and should be treated as such.”
Vickellia looked Lizzy straight in the eye, laughed, and walked away with her friends. Carole looked at Vickellia, sighed, and walked over to Ted.

“Ted, don’t let her get to you,” Carole said, “she doesn’t have what you have, Ted.”
“What is that?” Ted asked as he still felt embarrassed.
“Friends that like you for who you are,” Carole said happily as she ran off to catch up with Vickellia.
“Let’s go Larry,” Ted said as he felt depressed, “I don’t want to be here anymore.”
“Ok, bro,” Larry replied as he helped Ted get out of the ice cream shop.
“Ted!” Lizzy said as she felt Ted’s sadness and started to run off after him.
“Should we go after Lizzy?” Denise asked as she went up to pay the cashier.
“Yes, she seemed very worried,” Liz replied as she followed Denise out the door, after Denise paid for the ice cream.

Lizzy caught up to Ted and looked at him with tears in her eyes.

“I like you for who you are,” Lizzy said as she was crying, “I would never reject you.”
“Lizzy…” Ted said as he saw the tears in Lizzy’s eyes.
“Let’s sit down at the bus bench,” Larry suggested as he sat down.
Ted nodded and sat down next to Larry. Lizzy sat next to Ted as well. Lizzy hugged Ted and comforted him.
“Is there anything I can do?” Lizzy asked, “Want me to repair your leg?”
“Ok, why thanks,” Ted said as he smiled at Lizzy.
Lizzy took out her technology tool kit from her backpack and started fixing Ted’s cybernetic leg.
“Thank you Lizzy,” Ted said as Lizzy started to reconnect the cords.
“You’re welcome my dear,” Lizzy replied happily, “this is going to hurt a bit, so don’t move.”
Lizzy lightly pulled out the main cord and Ted howled in pain. Lizzy then replaced the main cord and reconnected it. Lizzy then closed up the wires.
“There, it’s all done,” Lizzy said with a smile, “it will take a while for it to move again.”
Meanwhile, Denise and Liz were around the corner and saw everything. They decided not to interrupt Lizzy, Ted, and Larry.

“Do you think Ted is really a machine?” Denise asked as she whispered to Liz.
“No, he is human, just like we are,” Liz whispered back, “just don’t say anything about it.”
Ted smiled back at Lizzy and hugged her.
“Thank you Lizzy,” Ted said as held the bus bench handle and got up, “you are a really kind person.”
“See bro, I told you Lizzy wasn’t like those other girls,” Larry said cheerfully, “maybe now I might find someone.”
“Maybe, Larry, maybe,” Ted said as he walked around the corner with Lizzy and Larry.
Liz and Denise saw Lizzy, Larry, and Ted walk over to them.

“I’ll see you guys tomorrow at school,” Lizzy said as she waved at them.
“I’ll talk to you on instant messenger tonight,” Denise replied as she waved at Lizzy.
“Ok Lizzy, take care,” Liz replied to Lizzy as she waved.
Lizzy was walked home by Larry and Ted. Lizzy’s father was right outside the door.
“See you later Lizzy!” Larry said.
“Bye Lizzy,” Ted said, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Ok you guys,” Lizzy replied as she walked into her house, “Take care now!”
“Let’s go home bro,” Larry said as they walked across the street.
Ted nodded and walked across the street with Larry.
Lizzy’s dad looked at her and smiled.
“Did you have a good day at your new school?” Lizzy’s dad asked.
“Yes I did, daddy,” Lizzy replied happily, “I made so many new friends.”
“That’s good, now go to the dinner table, your mother is waiting,” Lizzy’s dad said.

Lizzy nodded happily and ran to the dinner table. At the table was, her mom, her dad, and her brother. After dinner, Lizzy went to her room to do her homework. Right before Lizzy went to bed, she chatted to Denise online, texted Ted, and sent an e-mail to Liz. Two hours later, Lizzy changed into her pajamas and went to bed.
When 6 o’clock in the morning came, Lizzy is ready for a brand new day. What will that new day hold? Only fate and destiny will know that one.

Very interesting plot! The speach seems a bit too formal, try having them say "I'm" intead of "I am".

Vickellia's a jerk... You should add me in the story, I'd show her a thing or two!*gets Long staff*
